Why smol compute?
We believe in data sovereignty. When you rely on third party services to store and process your data, that data is likely being collected, analyzed, sold, and, sometimes, even stolen or lost.
Unlike third-party services, Smol Compute is entirely yours. Powered by Apple Numbers, it runs locally (on-device), allowing you to retain full control of your data. Nothing is fed to an external server. It's just spreadsheets, on your computer. To sync across devices, you can use iCloud with end-to-end encryption enabled. Your trades remain entirely private.
There's an increasingly relevant kind of power in choosing tools that leverage local compute, a power that harkens back to the early days of the personal computer, before all our data got sucked into the giant cloud computing matrices of huge corporations, and when, smol as their tools may have been, users were still in control.
What is Apple Numbers?
Numbers is Apple's spreadsheet editor. It's part of the iWork suite and is an alternative to Excel and Google Sheets. It is entirely free to use, runs natively on all Macs, iPads, and iPhones, and can also be used in any browser (much like Google Sheets).
About us
Smol Compute was created and is actively developed by Leo, a Numbers enthusiast living in Montreal. My sincere hope is that these tools save you the trouble of having to build your own from scratch. We are committed to building the best trading tools available on Apple Numbers.
